Bass Test / Subwoofer Test

Test your subwoofer or bass speakers with frequencies from 10Hz to 200Hz. Use the slider to pinpoint specific bass frequencies, or run an auto-sweep to test the full bass range. A quick surround test confirms your home theater speakers are all active and correctly positioned.

What Does a Bass Test Check?

A bass test plays low-frequency tones through your subwoofer or bass speakers to reveal how your audio system handles frequencies below 200Hz — where rumble, impact, and warmth live. The audio latency test reports your device's audio output latency in milliseconds — useful for gaming and production.

Most consumer subwoofers roll off below 40Hz, and any gap in the 60–80Hz range noticeably reduces punch in music. Identifying these gaps helps you adjust crossover settings or equalisation. Pink noise from the noise generator sounds more natural than white noise and is commonly used for speaker break-in.
